NEWS Our exciting and ambitious recording project: In 2015, Kammeraderie (our violin and recorder duo) recorded all volumes of Dorothy Barth's duo anthologies of Irish, Scottish, and English traditional tunes. She arranged these tunes for two instruments and has for several years made the sheet music available to fellow musicians. At last, we have time to record the music! The CDs are available to you as digital downloads on CDBaby, Amazon, and iTunesEnjoy and support independent music!

English Country Dance Music for Your Wedding

Playford Promenade: Music for Weddings and Grand Occasions contains 42 tunes arranged by Dorothy van Joolen Barth for recorder and violin. These 17th century tunes have been especially selected and arranged because they make unique processionals and recessionals. They are a perfect choice for theme weddings, garden weddings, and for any bride and groom wanting something a little different! The tunes may also be played on flute and violin or on two violins.  We are available to perform this music for your wedding in Southern California.

If you live outside our area of performance, the sheet music for Playford Promenade is available, though in limited supply.
Only 2 hard copies left!
Though we are phasing out the hard copies of this anthology, the entire anthology is available for digital download through SheetMusicPlus under the title Playford Promenade: Music for Weddings and Grand Occasions. You can also search Dorothy van Joolen Barth on the SheetMusicPlus website to view all of Dorothy's available sheet music offerings.

A recording of  Playford Promenade: Music for Weddings and Grand Occasions is available through CDBaby, Amazon, and iTunes, Google Play, and other digital outlets.  We hope this will be a welcome resource for those not able to book live music for their weddings. Brides and grooms can sample each track and purchase individual tracks to customize their ceremony. You can also purchase the entire album at an affordable price, thereby accessing a  wealth of unique ceremony choices.  The music on this CD can also serve as background music during a wedding prelude or as music for elegant teas or garden receptions. Though not intended for dancing (the tracks do not have enough repetitions for ECD dancers), we hope it will also be enjoyed by English Country Dance enthusiasts.
